WELCOME
My name is Sheila (though you'll see "Sheyla" here because that's how my name is pronounced — long story 
).
Crochet is my passion.
I'm drawn to all things modern design, especially monochrome and neutral palettes with unexpected pops of colour. Architecture, travel both within and beyond South Africa, and my Portuguese heritage are constant sources of inspiration, often finding their way into my crochet designs.
What I love most is that crochet is good for both the mind and the soul. It invites us to slow down, be present, create with our hands and experience the magic that comes from turning simple yarn into something beautiful — stitch by stitch.
Having started in the corporate world of marketing in the motor industry, I then lectured at a college in my field before finding my way into graphic design — a lot more "me" and a step closer to the creative life I was always meant for. Funny how life has a way of bringing you back to who you really are!
I'm a proud mom to two awesome kids (and two fur babies), wife to my soulmate, and I treasure quality time with family and the wonderful girlfriends who have shared life's journey with me. These relationships, together with my love for crochet, are what truly fill my soul.
I believe creativity should be joyful — hopefully that's reflected in my work and this colourful little crochet corner of the internet.
